
The 2012 Young Soloist Competition will hold preliminary and semi-final rounds March 21-22, 2012 and the final round recital will take place Sunday, March 25, 2012 at the Taiwan Center in Flushing, NY.

Queens Symphony Orchestra is pleased to offer our prestigiousYoung Soloist Competition to the community. The final round of this year's competition was held as a public recital at the Taiwan Center in Flushing on March 6, 2011 at 4 pm, after which the winners were announced. In addition to cash prizes, the first and second place winners of both the senior and junior divisions will be invited to perform with QSO during the 2011-2012 season. The judges included Diane Lee with IMG Artist, Abba Bogin, QSO Personnel Manager and Pianist, Masako Yanagita, QSO Concertmaster and Constantine Kitsopoulos, QSO Music Director. This was truly an opportunity for our gifted youth to be heard by leading members of the industry and perform with the only professional orchestra in the borough of Queens!
