SUMMARY:THE REMARKABLE ORCHESTRA
DESCRIPTION:Elliott: The Remarkable Sparkle McBride   \nHaydn: Symphony No. 94\, “Surprise\,” 2nd movement  \nHaydn: Symphony No. 45\, “Farewell\,” 4th movement  \nHaydn: Toy Symphony  \nJoin Maestro Martin Majkut and the Queens Symphony Orchestra for a delightful afternoon of classical music for kids and families. This concert offers a diverse range of styles and moods. “Elliott: The Remarkable Sparkle McBride” adds a contemporary touch with its storytelling element\, while Haydn’s symphonies showcase his mastery of the classical form. The “Surprise” Symphony’s second movement is known for its unexpected loud chord\, while the “Farewell” Symphony’s fourth movement famously features musicians leaving the stage one by one\, adding a unique theatrical element. And\, of course\, the “Toy Symphony” is a delightful piece that often incorporates toy instruments into the performance. It promises to be a wonderful afternoon for kids of all ages.

SUMMARY:A LITTLE NIGHT MUSIC - Mozart Comes to Queens
DESCRIPTION:The program opens with one of Mozart’s most famous compositions\, “Eine Kleine Nachtmusik” (“A Little Night Music”). It remains a favorite in classical music repertoires worldwide. Next\, violin virtuoso Bella Hristova plays Violin Concerto No. 5 in A major\, K. 219\, often called the “Turkish” due to its exotic-sounding third movement. We conclude with Mozart’s Symphony No. 40 in G Minor\, K. 550\, known as one of Mozart’s most romantic and emotionally charged symphonic masterpiece of the classical era. This concert is sure to be a mesmerizing journey through some of Mozart’s most beloved compositions\, highlighting his unparalleled talent and the timeless beauty of his music.
