“THE MYSTERY OF MUSIC”

Join Maestro Martin Majkut and the Queens Symphony Orchestra for “The Mystery of Music”, a highly interactive concert for young people and their families that explores the fundamental elements of the orchestra through Lemony Snicket’s “The Composer is Dead” and more. This concert will be narrated by Queens native Mateo Lizcano, star of Broadway’s Dear Evan Hansen. Music has the power to invigorate our imagination, and this show will invite our youngest concert goers to experience this first hand.

Mateo Lizcano is an actor based in Queens, New York. He is the 2021 Roger Rees Awards Best Actor and a 2021 Jimmy Awards Best Actor finalist. Shortly after participating in the Roger Rees and Jimmy Awards, Mateo joined the Broadway company of Dear Evan Hansen as a Evan/Jared/Connor understudy. After making his Broadway Debut as Evan Hansen, he later became the Evan Alternate performing on Broadway twice a week. Some of his other credits include: Sincerely, Mateo (54 Below Solo Show Debut), Trevor (2020 Cast & Workshop, Jason), The Bitter Sweets/Kimberly Akimbo (Workshop, Martin), Christmas Spectacular (Patrick). TV: “The Deuce.”
