Volunteer With Us

The Queens Symphony Orchestra has been supported by dedicated volunteers since its founding in 1953. Opportunities for volunteering include involvement with concert operations, fundraising, and other projects.

The Orchestra’s Volunteer Council was established in 1960 to reinforce the impact that volunteers have on the mission of the Orchestra. The Queens Symphony Orchestra salutes all the hard-working and dedicated volunteers who provide extraordinary service and support.

We are looking for motivated volunteers ages 16 and up who make a difference by supporting one of New York City’s greatest treasures and who enjoy the music performed by our world class orchestra.

As a volunteer, you have the opportunity to meet other music lovers who want to support our orchestra and learn from some of the best musical performers as well as non-profit and arts experts in the world. You will also have the opportunity to work during energetic and exciting QSO concerts and be able to get a “behind-the-scenes” look at professional concert production.

Volunteers will also have the opportunity to help with annual operating support, foundation support, and corporate giving, memberships and member relations, technological advancements and upgrades, and everyday office tasks required to run the oldest and largest non-profit organization in the Borough of Queens.
